NotePad is designed to store all your notes, titles, categories, checklists, images, and settings locally on your device. We do NOT collect, transmit, store, or have any access to:

• Your notes content
• Your note titles
• Your categories
• Your checklists
• Your images attached to notes
• Any personal information you type into the App

All your data remains on your device and is never uploaded to any server.

1.2 Automatically Collected Information

While using the App, certain information may be collected automatically by third-party services:

• Device information (model, manufacturer, OS version, language)
• Advertising ID (Google Advertising ID / AAID)
• IP address and approximate location (country/city level)
• App usage statistics and analytics
• Crash logs and error reports

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information strictly for the following purposes:

• To provide and maintain the App's core functionality (creating, editing, saving, and managing notes)
• To display relevant advertisements through third-party ad networks (Google AdMob)

3.2 Google Play Services

4. Permissions We Request

NotePad requests the following Android permissions and why:

• INTERNET: Required to display advertisements and check network connectivity
• ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE: To check whether the device is connected to the internet
• POST_NOTIFICATIONS: To send reminder notifications for notes
• SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM: To schedule note reminders at exact times
• RECORD_AUDIO: Only used when you use the voice-to-text feature. Audio is processed by your device's built-in speech recognition and is never stored or transmitted by us

5. Data Storage and Security

All your notes, categories, and settings are stored locally on your device in a private app storage directory (`/data/data/com.codelessdigital.mynotepad.notepadapp/files/`). This data is:

• Not accessible to other apps
• Automatically removed when you uninstall the App
• Backed up to your device's local external storage if you use the "Backup" feature

We take reasonable measures to protect your information, but no method of electronic storage is 100% secure.

6. Data Sharing

We do NOT sell, trade, rent, or share your personal information with third parties. The only data that may be shared is with Google AdMob (as described in Section 3) to display relevant advertisements.

7. Children's Privacy

NotePad is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately so we can take appropriate action.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:

• Access: Request a copy of your data (all your data is on your device)
• Delete: Clear App data via your device settings or uninstall the App
• Opt-out of personalized ads: Via Android Settings → Google → Ads → Delete advertising ID
• Withdraw consent: Disconnect from the internet or disable network access
